Rien n’est vrai, tout est vivant

At the end of its first season of research and creation residencies placed under the sign of the living, the Foundation LAccolade - Institut de France reunites the three artists of Season 1, Chloé Jeanne, Charlotte Gautier Van Tour, Caroline Le Méhauté, with the participation of artists Cristopher Cichocki and Luz Moreno.

The exhibition demonstrates an art that makes the living the very substance of art in a sensitive approach that combines symbiosis, repair and care.

The title of Season 1 refers to a famous aphorism by Edouard Glissant, "Nothing is true, everything is alive". With this statement, he opposes the dynamics of the True as an absolute to the Living as an expression that knows no discontinuity. To grasp the question of the living, it is undoubtedly necessary to show a particular disposition, a renewed sensitivity, if only to understand its extent, its infinite ramifications, its fragility. The infinitely concrete experience of climate change, or of the disappearance of entire sections of the living world, invites us to move, to take a step aside, to decentre ourselves.
