Angelika Markul's project, 1600 mètres, focuses on the recent discovery and drilling of a core crater in the heart of the Earth to reveal and explain why the dinosaurs disappeared. Thanks to a group of researchers and scientists from the University of Bremen in Germany and after more than fifteen years of preparation, it has been possible to extract 1600 meters of rock depth in order to trace the date when the dinosaurs disappeared.

Angelika's project, in collaboration with a team of scientists, is to film the 1600-meter core, which is currently kept at the University of Bremen in Germany. This long line is as much impressive for its size as for the history it preserves, since it contains within it, in the form of a pile of stones of different kinds, the history of our civilisation, which was only able to develop "thanks" to the disappearance of the dinosaurs. Filmed in a contemplative way and without explanatory voice, the line embodies then all the evolution of the humanity under a geological form, revealing at the same time the various fractures of the history.
