THE ELEMENTAL was inaugurated on February 12, 2022 in Palm Springs (California) with a first exhibition entitled "The Gaia Hypothesis - Chapter One: Earth, Fire, Water, Air" which brings together pioneering Earth and Land Art artists and contemporary artists.
This art center, whose programming in terms of exhibitions and events is multidisciplinary, aims to create links between art and the environment, focusing on the evolution of Earth & Land Art, BioArt and Sound Art.
Installed in a large industrial building, THE ELEMENTAL was created thanks to the partnership between the Fondation LAccolade - Institut de France and Epicenter Projects, founded by Coachella Valley artist Cristopher Cichocki.
This contemporary art center was designed to present and produce exhibitions, performances, and art books and editions. The art center is also intended to host artists as part of the LAccolade Foundation's residency program. These residencies will be partly nomadic in relation to the desert landscapes of the American West.
